Hydroscreen Co. LLC is proud to report that we have engineered and furnished nearly 25 megawatts of screened coanda intake Hydro diversions. Although many are in the 5 to 20KW range, we have a number of larger diversions from 1 to 14 megawatts.

The larger the turbine, the more important it is to remove debris and sediments that could either plug a nozzle or cause damage to the runner blades or impellers. In some cases, loss of generation revenues can cost as much as $20,000 per day for every day that the turbine is down. When added to the maintenance costs required to either repair or replace critical components, the costs can easily exceed $100,000. It is not difficult to see that a good diversion screen is the best investment that an owner can make.

Hydroscreen will work with the owner or his consultant engineer to ensure that the best possible diversion and screening configuration is put forward. If requested, field engineering and installation help is also available.
